My art education began very early onmy mother, an accomplished artist, influenced, exposed and taught me much of what I know about appreciating and creating art. My sister, also an accomplished artist, has contributed her influence as well. It has been an ongoing apprenticeship that continues to organically develop
I love working with mixed media (which must be in part due to an exposure to so many mediums during my lifetime), but fabric, buttons and trim are elements that reoccur in my pieces. Movement and dimension are also fun to incorporate, as I feel it encourages the viewer to interact with the work.
Interfacing with art has probably been the unstated mantra of my entire life. That and the belief that art is an integral interloper in every facet of our lives, day in day out, that most people take for granted
