My art education began very early on—my mother, an accomplished artist, influenced, exposed and taught me much of what I know about appreciating and creating art. My sister, also an accomplished artist, has contributed her influence as well. It has been an ongoing apprenticeship that continues to organically develop
I love working with mixed media (which must be in part due to an exposure to so many mediums during my lifetime), but fabric, buttons and trim are elements that reoccur in my pieces. Movement and dimension are also fun to incorporate, as I feel it encourages the viewer to interact with the work.
