Now in its 5th year, the Elmira Open Studio Tour is a free, self-guided tour of artists' studios throughout the Elmira, New York area.
Bringing artists and the public together, the Tour provides an opportunity for visitors to interact with artists and see artwork at the source, the artist's own studio.
Visit artists working in a variety of media - sculpture, painting, photography, video, digital imagery, internet design, woodcarving, printmaking, fiber art, handcrafted jewelry, writers and poets.
Watch techniques demonstrated and gain fresh perspectives on artby talking with the artists.
Whether you are a long time collector or you are just beginning a collection, the Elmira Open Studio Tour is a perfect venue to shop for fine art and craft.
Most artists open their studios by appointment only during the year, but during the Tour there is no need to phone ahead, just go and enjoy!
All studios are open both days on the
Elmira Open Studio Tour Weekend.

How it works
Start Your Trip on this website

Preview each artists’ page, enjoy their work, read their statements.
2. Plan your trip
Select artists you would like to visit, note their studio numbers, and then locate the studio numbers on the map. Print the map, circle the studio numbers and off you go. Look for a RED Balloon marking artist's studio. You’ve got two days, try to visit all the studios! There's something for everyone on the Elmira Open Studio Tour!
3. Travel the roads of Chemung County
